Question 33972: A company's profit for the first half of the year is $2,750,000 greater than the profit for the second half. If the total annual profit is $3,635,000, find the profit for the first half year and the second half-year.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
assume the first half year's profit is $x and the second half is $y
therefore
x = y + 2750K -- equation 1
since total is 3635K. therefore
x + y = 3635K
solve for x and y, and u will get
x = 3192.5K = 3,192,500
y = 442.5K = 442,500
