Question 261698: Can anyone help me solve this problem?
Tim needed 64 credits to graduate. He has earned 56 credits. What percentate of the credits does he have? Found 2 solutions by checkley77, butterfliiizzz:Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! We put the total number of credits in the denominator (represents the whole), and the part that Tim earned, we put in the numerator.
56/64
Now we divide (you can use a calculator) and we get .875 To figure out the percentage, we just move the decimal point over 2 places to the right, and we get 87.5% If they want it rounded, then we would round up to 88%, because the last number is 5 or above. If it were 4 or below, then we would have rounded down to 87%.
