Step 1. Substitute values B and y into given equation Bt+=+2y.

2t=2%2A6

2t=12

Step 2. Divide by 2 to both sides of the equation

2t%2F2=12%2F2

t=6

Step 3. Check solution with original equation Bt+=+2y to see if it leads to a true statement.

2t=2%2A6

2%2A6=2%2A6

12=12 which is a true statement.
