Subtract 5 from both sides to get:
-9x > 6

Divide both sides by -9 to get:
x < -2/3

Step 1. Add 8x-11 to both sides of the equation.

Step 2. -8x+5+8x-11 > 11+8x-11 OR -6>8x

Step 3. Divide 8 on both sides to get x by itself

-6%2F8%3E8x%2F8

x%3E-6%2F8=-3%2F4

x%3E-3%2F4

x%3E-0.75
