An 8 sided polygon is an octagon with 4 diagonal sides.
Remember: Probability=no. of ways it'll occur/total no. of possible outcome ------>1
So if Anu chose 1 diagonal, the probability Anitha will land on that diag. is:
1%2F4 or 25% ----> see 1 above.---------> FINAL ANSWER
If Anu chose 2 sides, then the probability that Anitha will land on those sides chosen by Anu: 2%2F4=1%2F2 or 50%. ----> see 1 above.

Now if it's SOLID Octagon, it's different:
diagonals=%28sides%2F2%29%28sides-3%29=%288%2F2%29%288-3%29=4%2A5=20diag.
