Question 124587: solve for y:
2x+y=3
also this one....
solve for h:
s=5ph
I'm really confused since I can figure out what to do with the other variables that are not supposed to be solved. Maybe you could help me out and explain...
thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+y=3
now subtract 2x from both sides
2x-2x+y=-2x+3 now add the -2x & the +2x which =0.
y=-2x+3 answer.
s=5ph now divide both sides by 5p
s/5p=5ph/5p now cancel out the 5p/5p on the right side of the equation.
s/5p=h answer.
