document.write( "I started working this problem out. I started by multiplying by 4 on both sides, getting y+1=4c. I subtracted 1, getting y=4c-1. I thought that was the solution, however I typically check my work on a few apps I have, just because I like knowing I got the right answer and then when I get something different I can try to find what I did wrong. Both things I checked said the correct solution was y=4c-4 and for some reason I don't know how they got the -4 at the end. </SPAN>\n" );
