I believe you are trying to salve this equaton. That means that you need to find a way to solve for the letter k. That meams you need to isolate k on one side and get the numbers on the other. 3k+16 equals (\") 5k. So put all k's on one side and all the numbers on the other side of the equal sign. re-write the equation as -5k+3k equals (\") -16. You get a negitive equals sign becouse you moved it over across the equals sign, meaning it changes it sign. Now add 3k pluse -5k, and you get -2k equals(\") to -16. -2k\"-16, you must now dived the 2 away from k. so you now have k one one side of the equal sign and -16 over 2, on the other. How many times will 2 go into -16? it will go into it 8 times, but don't forget the negitive sign. \r
