I sometimes find it easier when working on paper to write all 6 terms on two lines, the first line being $\"%28x%29%28x%5E2-2x%2B4%29\"$ and the second line being $\"%28%2B3%29%28x%5E2-2x%2B4%29\"$ lining up all of my terms (x^2, x^3, etc...) like:
