I would always use the slope-intercept method. For decades it seems I taught to find the equation of a line using the point-slope formula. I thought this was the #3 formula in all of mathematics, behind the quadratic formula and the Theorem of Pythagoras. Then someone showed me that the slope intercept formula y = mx+b was so much easier! So it probably depends upon who you ask!!\r
