Question 4795: I dont know how to go through the steps to solve these problems.
174=(n-2)*180 (over n - program wont depict it properly)
and 178= (n-2)*180 (over N)
I am trying to solve for the number of sides in a regular polygon and this is the equation i came up with based on the vertex I was provided (the answer) for each. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

What is the radius of a circle whose area is 154 square centimeters?
A=pi r(squared) for pi they are using 22/7 if I am right that is 3.14?
154=3.14 r(squared)
This is as far as I can get because I can not remember how to do the squared.
After this I am going to bed. My brain is fried trying to fiqure all these out and trying to explain them to him in the process.

Question 7323: Lightning hit a tree three-eights of the distance up the trunk from the ground and broke the tree so that its top landed 40 ft from the base of the trunk. Creates a triangle. Question is How tall was the tree originally. I said a2+b2=c2, so 1600+.140625(change 3/8 to decimal)= then it all falls apart from there.
