Let the length of the top square be L.
Note that the area of the front face
By factorization, we have
A = h * L = x^3-2x^2-2x-3 = (x^2 + x + 1) (x-3)= L * (x-3)
So,L = x-3, and the area of the top square =L^2 = (x -3)^2
