Question 546972: 1250mm =?Km the answer is 0.00125 Km. what I want to know is how is the answer 0.00125Km. I got a different answer when I divided 1250 by 2000. I got 0.625. I know the steps. I went from mm to m to Km but at the end when it came to dividing 1250/(1000)(1000) I don't know how to come up with the right answer.

Question 557878: Hi I'm am trying to figure out the correct unit analysis for this problem.
A marathon is a long distance event that covers 26.2 miles. If the average runner can run 515 ft in one minute, how many hours will it take to complete the marathon? ( round your result to one decimal place).
I have tried multiplying 26.2 by 515 then divided by 5280 but I got 2.5 and the answer is approx. 4.5.

Question 558403: The cost of a gallon of gas is 3.35 per gallon. If you travel 40 miles a day (back and forth to work) and your gas mileage is 25 miles per gallon, determine how much you will spend on gas a week.
I have tried to figure this out but I am just not sure what steps to take first. I just started this class and have been trying to teach myself because I haunt been able to make it to class. Thank you for your help!
