Make Length = 'x'
Width = x/2 - 1
Perimeter = 2 x Length + 2 x Width
64 = 2(x) + 2(x/2 - 1)
62 = 2x + x - 2
collect like terms
3x = 64 + 2
3x = 66
x = 22
Length = 22 feet
Width = 10 feet.
