Question 986240: A sugar cone, shaped like a right circular cone, has a diameter of 2.4 cm and a length of 11.5 cm for the slanted side of the code. What is the volume in cubic feet?
I know the formula for volume = 1/3 pi r^2 X h
I found h = square root of (s^2-r^2) and came up with 11.43 cm
I plugged that into the formula for volume and got 17.22 cm^3
I don't know how to convert that to cubic feet.
Answer by josgarithmetic(39630) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1 inch = 2.54 cm
12 inches = 1 foot
Just to recheck your cone length part,
h for the length,
, good value for your result.
Be sure to convert your volume for ALL THREE DIMENSIONS.
V for volume,
