Question 93480: CONVERT THE RATE INTO THE GIVES UNITS
1) 20 mi/h to feet per second
2)1 gal/h to ounces per second
3)50 km/h to miles per hour
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) 20 mi/h to feet per second
(20 mi/hr)((5280 ft/mile)(1 hr/3600 seconds)
= [20*5280*1 ft]/[1*1*3600 second]
= [105600 ft]/[3600 seconds]
= 29.333... ft./sec.
======================================================
2)1 gal/h to ounces per second
= (1 gal/hr)(1hr/3600 seconds)(weight/gallon)
Comment:weight/gallon is not a constant ration; it depends on the type of liquid

3)50 km/h to miles per hour
=(50 km/hr)(1 mi/1.609 km)
= 50 mi/1.609 hr
= 31.08 mi/hr
