Question 9202: mark mcguire hit 70 home runs in the 1998 season. Given that there are 4 bases with 90 ft. between each base. how many miles did he run last season just from home runs?
Answer by DWL(56)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are 5,280 feet in a mile.
90 ft. between each base times 4 bases = 360 feet per home run
70 home runs times 360 feet = 25,200 feet run
25,200 feet / 5,280 feet/mile = 4.77 miles
Notice above theat the feet cancel out leaving just miles.
answer 4.77 miles
