Question 899121: What volume of lead (of density 11.3 g/cm3)
has the same mass as 312 cm3 of a piece of
redwood (of density 0.38 g/cm3)?

Lead: , v=volume in cm^3 or mL. m=mass of redwood.

Redwood: , m = mass of redwood.

The two masses are equal but not their volumes.

An easier way to think of this is first find the mass of the redwood. Then using this mass to be the same for the lead, find the volume of the lead.
