Area of the rectangle - area of the circle = what is left

DO NOT plug in 3.14 for pi unless your teacher tells you to
l = 20
w = 32
r = 3.5

Now, if they want you to plug in pi ... do it at this step

Solution:
A rectangular plot is 20m by 32m.

The area of the rectangular plot is length * breadth = 20 *32 = 640.
Given the diameter of a circular gazebo is 7m .
Therefoer the radius = diameter /2 = 7 / 2 = 3.5m
The area of the circle = pi r^2 = pi * 3.5 ^2 = 3.14 * 3.5 *3.5 = 38.465
The left over plot = Rectangular plot area - area of the radius = 640 - 38.465
= 601.535m
