3450 rpm = 57.5 rev/sec
------
10" : C = pi*d = 10pi inches = 5pi/6 ft
--> (5pi/6)*57.5 ft/sec
=~ 150.5 ft/sec
--------
12" : C = pi ft
--> 57.5pi ft/sec
=~ 180.6 ft/sec
============
The speeds are in the ratio 5 to 6, same as the blade sizes
