If you really just want the area (you asked for "sq foot") then just multiply the height of the wall times the length of the wall, and the thickness makes no difference.
On the other hand, if you wanted the volume as you imply by the fact that you provided the thickness of the wall, then in the first place you should have asked "How many cubic feet..." In this case you take the area (in square feet) that you calculated by multiplying the height of the wall times the length of the wall and multiply that area by the thickness of the wall IN FEET.
You gave the thickness in inches, so you have to figure out how many feet is represented by 8 inches. To convert inches to feet, divide the number of inches by 12, and, in this case anyway, reduce the fraction.
