The length of a rectangle is 5 more than its width.
If perimeter is 58ft, what are length and width?
-------------------
Let width be "W".
Then length = "W+5".
-------
Perimeter = 2(width + length)
58 = 2(W + W+5)
29 = 2W+5
2W = 24
W = 12 ft (width)
---
length = W+5 = 17 ft
