dimensions of plate = 30 by 50
let he square cut has edge x cm.
the length will reduce to 30-2x
width will reduce to 50-2x
height of box when folded will be x

Volume of box = L*W*H= 2392
x(50-2x)(30-2x)=2392
4x(25-x)(15-x)= 2392
4x(375-25x-15x+x^2)=2392
4x(x^2-40x+375)=2392
/4
x(x^2-40x+375)=2392/4
x^3-40x^2+375x-598=0
solve for x
you will get x=2 the width cut
so the squares are 2 by 2 in
