What the other person has is RUBBISH!! So, we get this: 
With 60% of animals on the farm comprising of chickens, and remaining animals being cows, number of cows (C) =
.6C = .4(108) ------ Cross-multiplying
Number of cows, or
Having 108 chickens (2 feet each), and 72 cows (4 feet each), you should now be able to calculate the number of animal feet, not including the farmer's, of course! lol!
BTW: You need to figure out that Polya's 4-step process. That's not for us to do!!
