Question 1106299: I need a problem that involves converting three different equations of lines to different forms. First, write three (3) equations of lines in the following forms: a) point-slope form, b) slope-intercept form, and c) standard form. Next, choose another form to write each equation in, and then show all the steps required to convert each equation to the other form.

No, this is not my homework or part of a test question.
Point-slope form to: ___________________ Form
Slope-intercept form to: ___________________ Form
Standard form to: ___________________ Form

Choose any of the three forms you want and convert into the two other forms. Either make up your own example, take example from a book, or just write the form using variables only; and do the very simple algebra steps yourself.

The usual generalized models are most typically shown as these:

Standard Form:

Slope-Intercept Form:

Point-Slope Form: for some slope m and given point (,).

You should understand for point-slope form, that one of the included points will be the same as (0,b).

Change from standard to slope-intercept -
Just solve for y in terms of x and adjust the form.

Change from slope-intercept to standard -
Use one or two simple steps to get both variable terms on one side and the constant term on the other side, and if possible multiply both sides by THE value so that all coefficients are integers (might not always be easy or possible).
