Question 1040264: A rectangle is
4 times as long as it is wide. The perimeter is
50 feet. Find the dimensions

Answer by addingup(3677)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L = 4W
and
2L+2W = 50
Substitute for L:
2(4w)+2W = 50
8W+2W = 50
10W = 50
W= 5 and L = 4(5) = 20
Check:
2(5)+2(20) = 50 Correct.
