I keep coming back to 12x+x-4= 80 , but I'm sure I'm missing something!

Question 520554: I'm having trouble setting the equation up correctly. It reads - on a recent trip, a trucker traveled 330 miles at a constant rate. Because of road construction, the trucker then had to reduce the speed by 25mph. An additional 30 miles was traveled at the reduced rate. The total time for the entire trip was 7 hours. Find the rate of the trucker for the first 330 miles.

Question 521140: A plane with an airspeed of 200 mi per hr flies in the direction of a wind with a speed of 50 mi per hour. What is the ground speed of the plane if it flies with the wind and if it flies against the wind? I'm not sure what exactly the difference is between airspeed and ground speed. Could someone give me some direction in how to solve this?
