Let x=capacity
cost/head(13 under)=cost/head(full)+8

multiply x(x-13) times each side
subtract 624x from each side.

Quadratic formula: x=39 and x=-26(extraneous)
39-13=26 students are in the trip (Ans.)
Check:
624/26=24
624/39=16
24-16=8
