Question 983603: 1. how many hours is 155 plus 50 minutes?
2. how many hours is 10:00am until 5:00pm and 9:30 am until 5:00 pm altogether?

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
155 hours*60 minutes/hour is 9300 minutes, so the total will be 9350 minutes.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m is 7 hours
9:30 a.m. is 2.5 hours to noon and another 5 hours to 5 p.m. or 7.5 hours.
That is 14.5 hours
14.5*60=870, and the units are minutes
hours* min/hour=min.
