Hi there,
Using the cosine rule:
Cos A = 82 degrees
b= 14 km
c = 18 km
a^2 = b^2 + c^2 - 2bc Cos A
a^2 = 14^2 + 18^2 - 2x 14 x 18 x Cos82
a^2 = 449.857
a = square root of 449.857
a = 21.2 km
This how far apart they are after an hour.
Hope this helps:-)
