Question 973887: Two jets take off from the airport at the same time traveling in the same direction 3 hours later the jets are 600 miles apart from each other if the first jet is traveling at 500 mph how fast is the second jet traveling?
Answer by Tricksolver(1) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
300 mph
Reason... first jet is travelling @500mph. .
So 500*3 =1500 miles.
2nd jet is 600 miles away ie: 1500-600=900 miles
for 3 hrs 900 miles.. so for 1 hr 900/3=300 mph. .
