Please help with this word problem and show steps on how you recieved answer? I really suck at word problems and this is really stumping me.
Chuck and Diane agree to meet in Chicago for a Cubs game. Chuck travels 160 miles in the same time that diane travels 145 miles. If Chuck's rate of travel is 3mph faster than Diane's, and they travel the same length of time, at what speed does Chuck travel.

DISTANCE=RATE*TIME OR DISTANCE/RATE=TIME
SEEING AS THE TIMES ARE EQUAL THEN:
160/(R+3)=145/R NOW CROSS MULTIPLY
160R=145R+435
160R-145R=435
15R=435
R=435/15
R=29 MPH IS THE SPEED OF DIANE.
29+3=32 MPH IS THE SPPED OF CHUCK.
PROOF
160/32=145/29
5=5
