Alicia's speed is 4x.
Distance=Speed*Time
Distance traveled by Brenda=4.5x
Distance traveled by Alicia=4.5(4x)
Total distance=450 miles
4.5x+4.5(4x)=450
4.5(5x)=450
5x=100
x=20 miles/hour.
Brenda's speed is 20 miles/hour.
Alicia's speed is 80 miles/hour.
