Question 966222: Two fishing boats leave Sandy Cove at the same time traveling in the same direction. One boat is traveling 3 times as fast as the other boat. After 5 hours the faster boat is 80 miles ahead of the slower boat. What is the speed of each boat.

I thought this may be the first equation but was unsure how to solve.
3x(5)=80+y
