Two cars leave calgary at the same time, travelling in opposite directions. Their average speeds differ by 5km/h. After 2 h, they are 370 km apart find the speed of the fastest car.
***
let x=speed of faster car
x-5=speed of slower car
speed at which the 2 cars are moving away from each other=sum of their speeds=x+(x-5)=2x-5
speed=distance/travel time
2x-5=370/2=185
2x=190
x=95
speed of the fastest car=95 km/h
