A car travelling at a constant speed travels 30km in 15 minutes. How far, will it travel in 2 hours 12 minutes, if it continues at the same constant speed?
-----
distance = rate*time
Notice that rate and time are indirectly related (as one increases the other decreases.
-------------------
Your Problem::
30km in 15 min implies 4*30 km in 4*15 min or 120 km/hr
--------------------------------
Ans: dist = rate*time
dist = 120 km/hr * 2hr 12 min = 120(2 1/5) = 120(11/5) = 24*11 = 264 km
