Question 955232: Assume you are throwing a baseball up from the top of a building. The equation for the height of the ball, h, at time, t, is represented by the equation: h=-16t^2+64t+512
After how many seconds does the ball reach 432 feet?
I have gotten to this: 0=16t^2+64t+80 and then I get stuck. Please help!

Assume you are throwing a baseball up from the top of a building. The equation for the height of the ball, h, at time, t, is represented by the equation: h=-16t^2+64t+512
After how many seconds does the ball reach 432 feet?
Solve:
-16t^2 + 64t + 512 = 432
------
16t^2 - 64t -80 = 0
------------------------
t^2 - 4t - 5 = 0
-----
(t-5)(t+1) = 0
Ans:: t = 5 seconds
