NO! YOU DON'T USE THE D=RT FORMULA.
YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE TIME DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ROME & NY.
IF THE PLANE LEAVES @ 5:15 PM. & IT TAKES 7:30 HOURS TO GET TO NY THEN THE ROME TIME FOR THE ARRIVAL IN NY IS 5:15+7:30=12:45 AM THURSDAY ROME TIME.
