Britney's flight to Rome leaves New York City at 5:15 pm on Wednesday. The flight time is 7.5 hours. If Rome is 6 hours ahead of New York City, use Rome time to determine when she is scheduled to arrive.
Do I use the formula d = r * t?

7:30h Flight time (7.5h = 7:30h on a digital clock)

6:00 add on for Rome time

NO! YOU DON'T USE THE D=RT FORMULA.
YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE TIME DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ROME & NY.
IF THE PLANE LEAVES @ 5:15 PM. & IT TAKES 7:30 HOURS TO GET TO NY THEN THE ROME TIME FOR THE ARRIVAL IN NY IS 5:15+7:30=12:45 AM THURSDAY ROME TIME.
