[(1111)^(1/3)]/(17)^(1/2)km. in other words. cube root of 1111 divided by the square root of 17 km

let a = the distance they each traveled
Using pythag a^2 + a^2 = c^2
2a^2 =
get rid of this nasty expression with your calc
2a^2 = 6.31
divide by 2
a^2 = 3.155
find the square root
a = 1.776 km in 2 hrs
find the speed in km/h
1.776/2 = .9 km/hr, awful slow, not much makes sense here
