Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
show that, at 40km/h, it takes 1 minutes 30 seconds to travel 1km
d = r*t
t = d/r = 1 km/40 km/hr = 1/40 hour
1/40 hr * 60 min/hr = 1.5 minutes
=====================
then at 80km/h, how many seconds does it take to travel 1km
2x the the speed --> 1/2 the time
