In 1 hour Shawna can do 1/6 of the work.
In 1 hour Dan can do 1/7 of the work.
In 1 hour both of them can do (1/6+1/7) i.e.(13/42) of the work.
If they worked together they will take 42/13 hours i.e.3.23 hours
