Question 934697: an airplane flies from point a to point , a distance of 600 miles. Flying with the wind the trip takes 1 hour and 12 minutes. Flying against the wind, the trip takes 1 hour 30 minutes. What is the speed of the airplane in still air, and the speed of the wind?
Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the 2 groundspeeds using d = r*t
r = d/t
----
The plane's airspeed is the average of the 2.
The windspeed is the difference between airspeed and groundspeed.
