Question 923738: What distance is needed and at what speed
is needed for a stopped vehicle to catch up to a vehicle traveling at 89 mph, in a vehicle that takes 7.7 seconds to reach 60mph?

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The distance needed is a function of the speed of the pursuing car.
-----
The speed of the pursuing car has to be greater than 89 mi/hr.
If it's 89.1 mi/hr, it will take a "long time."
If it's 300 mi/hr, it won't take as long.
