Question 909195: bob took a 7 hour bicycle trip. in all, he traveled 112 miles. what was his average rate of speed in miles per hour? in meters per second?
Answer by Visal(1) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-Find Bob's average of speed (miles per hour)
Formula: v=d/t (v:speed, d:distance, t:time)
So, v=112 miles/7 hour = 16 miles/hour
-(meters per second)
d= 112 miles =180247 meters
t= 7 hour = 25 200 seconds
So, v= 180247/25200= 7.15 metres/second
