Two cyclist start at the same time from opposite ends of the course that is 51 miles long. One cyclist is riding at a rate of 16 mph, and the second cyclist is riding at a rate of 18 mph. How long after they begin will they meet?
------------------
Note: Their times are equal.
--------
x/16 = (51-x)/18
--------
18x = 16*51-16x
----
34x = 816
x = 24 miles
-----
Ans: Time = x/16 = 24/16 = 3/2 = 1 1/2 hours
