Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 east -7 w= 5 west and 4 north
Now apply the pythagorean theorem.
a^2+b^2=c^2
5^2+4^2=c^2
25+14=c^2
38=c^2
sqrt(39)=c
c=6.244 km
