rate = 14 mph ; distance = x miles ; time = d/r = x/14 hrs

rate = 16 mph ; distance = 45-x miles ; time = d/r = (45-x)/16

Equation:
time = time
x/14 = (45-x)/16

16x = 14*45-14x
----
30x = 14*45
x = (3/2)14
x = 21 miles
