I tried 7=5+1/2t and got 4.
I plugged that into an answer engine and it says the answer should be 2 but does not show the equation or the work. I am not sure how to set this problem up.

Laura is catching up to Tony at a speed of 7-5=2 mph
travel time=distance/speed
x=0.5/2=.25
how long will it take Laura to catch Tony? .25 hr or 15 min
