Question 897640: An airplane flies at 150 mi/hr for 3.0 hours. Find the distance it travels.
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distance = Rate * Time

D = r*t

D = 150*3

D = 450

The plane has traveled 450 miles

Note: this is assuming there is no wind to slow down or speed up the plane. That means it maintains a constant speed of 150 mph. This assumption is unreasonable as wind does play a factor in real life, but for the purposes of this problem, it's best to have this assumption to simplify things.
